So First off this week has been CRAZY, CRAZY, CRAZY! Haha
I guess not to crazy but it has been busy and really good! So, I guess the biggest news is that I'M GETTING PUT INTO A TRIO TODAY!! so this sister is getting emergency transferred to Navarre. Sister Cooper is training her but when Sister Cooper goes home in 6 weeks I will finish her training. She has only been out for 1 week. I'm so excited to be adopting my first child. :)
That is the biggest news. lol
So it was really nice to Skype y'all on Christmas!
On Monday we did a little bit of shopping, not too much Sister Cooper wasn't feeling good. But good news, I found where I can buy GATOR heads in Navarre. I will have to get one sometime.
I made a gingerbread house at a members home. Mine didn't fall! Muahaha it looked kind of good for ya know Hannah Decorating it. ;) haha
Tuesday we about died! The weather was nuts! So in the morning it was storming super bad. really strong wind and raining like CRAZY. Also really crazy thunder and lighting. We had district meeting.. I was scared to drive. The wind slowed down so it was all good. When we got to the church, the power was out. After district meeting the rain slowed down and it was just sprinkling, so we went home and got our bikes. Then it stopped and it was good for a few hours. So we went and saw R, E, J and a less active. We then had dinner with the S. family. They really do remind me of home, I love it! We then went caroling with the gulf breeze sisters. While we were caroling it started to rain again, we went and saw a less active after trying a few other houses. She let us in and that is when it started PORING, but we had umbrellas with us, so we just left and went walking towards our car to put our bags away, it was raining like crazy. We tried a few other people, sang to a few people. We went to this one house and they invited us in they were in the gulf breeze ward. They gave us cookies and hot cocoa by then the storm was nuts, it was raining so hard, there was lighting and crazy thunder again. While we were at their house the power went out, we then realized we had to drive home. So we left, when we got in the car we checked our phone. The Zone Leaders tried to call us. They texted and said everyone should be in side early because of the weather. Oops it was 9 pm by that time. We were driving every single street light was out including the Stop lights. #creepy. it was like that on the way to district meeting too, but it was light outside then. I had Sister Cooper drive because I'm a baby. So while we were driving we couldn't see because of the rain and crazy lighting, but when we pulled out on 98 it was creepy pitch black and all we could see was head lights coming straight towards us. Sister Cooper didn't pull all the way into the middle lane (cause she could see) then she realized that and about panicked thank goodness she didn't panic and pull out. She just slowly pulled into the rest of the lane. and it was all good. When we got home we said some mega prayers of thanks! Someone then dropped cookies off at our door. (The Y's)
Wednesday, we played ultimate Frisbee, that was a lot of fun. While we were taking a water brake, Sister Beukers (gulf Breeze sister) saw one of those spinning toys on the play ground, we ran over to it and started playing. Everyone else then came over to play on it too. Eight missionaries and some ward members. As everyone else was leaving back to the field. Sister Beukers and I decided to just run and spin one last time...............................
This story would be better if there was a video..
So Sister Beukers went and she almost fell. so I was like "watch out I will go first" I ran grabbed on then tripped on my own two big feet. I then fell into no joke a big muddy puddle. It was actually just a wet sandy mess. Sister Beukers started laughing, I was just laying on the ground laughing my head off. I then got up and dusted off my booty. It was all wet and sandy, same with my back. Then we were walking back and Sister Whetten and Sister Cooper where walking together. Sister Cooper had asked "Where is Sister Seegrist" Sister Whetten looked back and had seen the whole thing happen. She was laughing so hard. She was the only one besides Sister Beukers who saw it. Thank goodness none of the Elders saw that hahaha it was a had to be there moments. haha #stilllaughing So after that exciting event we had a Christmas eve lunch with a member we then saw the R's family (R and E) She is super excited to share the gospel, I love it! She said she can't wait to tell everyone about the Mormons. haha She carries her Book of Mormon around with her. :) We then had a exciting party with white elephants and everything, yummy food, that was with some members.
Then it was CHRISTMAS!
I hope you all enjoyed talking with me as much as I enjoyed talking with you! The time went by way to fast! Thank you all for the great packages and gifts. I love them all. I love y'all. We went to some members homes on this day. That was really good! :)
Friday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you had a wonderful Birthday. I meant to tell you happy birthday over Skype but didn't. oops. Hope it was good though. Love you!
So Friday we just really did the same old stuff. We went to see a less active, she wasn't home but she had her baby! Oh my cutie! It is super cute! We are going to eat with them tonight :)
Saturday, we had 3 lessons with investigators. That was really good! :) We had a good day. This is when we found out about our little Child. Well Sister Coopers child and my soon to be adoptive child. It was just a really great day on Saturday! We got a lot done and just had a good day!
Sunday the Elders spoke in church. They both did a really good job! We then saw one of the R. girls. That was good. She is 14,Super nice. The mom is a member, but was only active for 1 year. The daughters are slowly investigating the church, not really progressing though. They have been through a ton of missionaries. Maybe someday!
Today we are getting the newbie! She is coming from Mississippi. There are now no more sisters in Mississippi. Weird, sisters are only in Florida and Alabama now. Lets hope they re-open some areas so I can serve in one of those two states ( Georgia or Mississippi.) That'd be cool.
Well, I love you all. Have a great week and Happy New Years!
Love, Sister Seegrist
