Hey Yall,
This week has been pretty good. We had fun and had some changes! Tuesday we had a good district meeting. We learned about the importance of asking for referrals and using the scriptures. It was motivational.. We had interviews with President Smith. I just love him.. He makes you really just feel so loved.. We talked about me coming home and staying focused these next few weeks! He really is just so loving! We then got to see our Gator Lynn. That took up a lot of time.. She really loves to talk.. But we got to read out of The Book Of Mormon with her.. We had dinner with a less active family and went to the other wards Mutual.. We were teaching/answering questions for them about missionary work. It was pretty good and we really enjoyed it, most of them are planning on serving missions.
Wed. we did service for a less active with the Elders. That was lots of fun! She then took us out to lunch. She kept getting after us and the elders for acting like children...... haha...But she loves us and treats us like we are her own kids.. We then went and saw this other LA family. They are super cool! We read the Book of Mormon with them. We then went contacting in this super nice neighborhood. There was only like 1 guy out.. But we had fun! The houses here in Tally.. are huge and beautiful!
“No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude and humility. All that we suffer and all that we endure, especially when we endure it patiently, builds up our characters, purifies our hearts, expands our souls, and makes us more tender and charitable, more worthy to be called the children of God … and it is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire and which will make us more like our Father and Mother in heaven.”
—Orson F. Whitney, quoted by Spencer W. Kimball,
