This week was pretty good.
Monday it rained all day. we watched Richard G Scotts services with a family. We saw Cassie a few times this week.
Tuesday we became "best friends" with the elders... haha jk.. but we brought donuts to district meeting. (missionaries get them for free at this place on Tuesday) We did some of Sister Porter's training. Well tried to at least, it wouldn't load for the life if us. I felt sick on Tuesday so that made it a bit rough. We went and saw this one family. They are so cute! They have 2 little boys. Who remind me of the nephews. They are adorable. They are working towards getting to the temple. First they have to come to church. Which they are working on it. Slowly getting better. :)
Wed... well this day was interesting. We got hit on big time at the thrift store by a kid doing community hours. haha, it was pretty funny. He then told us we were some pretty ladies. haha... He was like "my mission in life is to find a nice lady, get a good job and start a family." Good mission dude :) Sister Porter and I had fun this week. Let's just say she is just as much of a spaz as I am.. it's wonderful.. but probably traumatizing for others.. haha. We talked to a lot of people. :) Saw our prayers be answered again. Heavenly Father really does watch over us. We went to this really yummy Mexican place. #foodismybabe.
Thursday we did service at a non members. That was the cleanest house we had ever cleaned. we went over and saw a bedridden lady. she is great. super sweet. I feel so bad for her. We went to C. bible Study. Sister Porter and I sang at it. We sang Be Still My Soul. They said is sounded really good. probably just being nice. haha Sister Porter has a wonderful voice though. We did service at the Old Folks home. We served ice cream there. Those oldies are super funny. We then went on exchanges. Sister C. Came here.
Friday. We had a really short exchange. We went to the Bonifay Parade. That was really fun. We ran into some members. Their friend was with them.. He went to high school with sister C's companion, random place to see someone in Bonifay. hahaha we then did service for C. again. We had the wonderful chance to walk down to where all the fun was happening. We got to try some delish fried food. We had fried Oreos which are heavenly.. We then tried some fried Kool-aid...yeah I didn't know it was a thing either.. but it was just like a kool- aid donut we then tried fried Gator on a stick. It was all pretty delish. No wonder why everyone says you gain like 30 pounds in Bonifay.. I am determined not to.. haha
Saturday we watched conf. I really enjoyed it. It was really some great things I needed to hear. We went to the parade and talked to some more people. We tried fried pickles. Which are delish as well. We enjoyed the rest of conf. and had a good lesson/dinner with a less active family. They are great as well. We taught about Follow the Prophet. which was perfect timing with conference and all.
Sunday we enjoyed conf. We had a nice lesson with our Gator Joann. We actually ended up dropping her. but it was what needed to happen. She wasn't progressing and has been meeting with missionaries since 2010. But she is super sweet, but we just need to give her some time. Well, family I sure love y'all. I sure hope you have a fab week. Keep being amazing and keep being the best member missionary you can be.
Love, Sister Hannah Seegrist
